There are many beliefs as far as breast feeding while pregnant is concerned. There are many views on this topic. Some people feel that while one is pregnant breastfeeding can have dire effects on the fetus as most of the nutrients will be taken away.
But this is not entirely true. Many people who have been doing research over this topic suggest that there is no nutritional risk to the fetus and thus there won’t be problems like miscarriage. But there are some exceptions to this and that are mentioned below:
- If the female has the history of premature labor then breast feeding during pregnancy is not considered as a safe thing to do.
- If the uterus contracts due to hormonal changes then one should avoid breast feeding while pregnant.
- If women’s’ uterus is too sensitive to the hormonal changes occurring in the body it is not safe to breastfeed while pregnant.
However, the best thing would be to talk to your doctor in this regards and tell him as to what should be done. You should follow all that your doctor says. However, if you feel unsafe you should discontinue with breastfeeding. It is seen that while when women’s uterus is not that sensitive one can continue with breastfeeding depending upon the need of the hour.
There are many females who get positive pregnancy tests when their child is just 6-9 months old. At that time there will be such questions in mind and that are whether I should continue with breast feeding. Should I stop breast feeding? And all these questions are tricky to answer as different women have different bodies and thus the answer may also differ. Whenever the decision comes there will be good amount of guilt in the mind. Women feel that whatever choice she makes, she is actually harming her other baby. And this is what makes the choice a controversial one.
If the baby is around 6 months she will be required to breast feed. But you don’t have to worry when the baby crosses 7 months. It is perfectly fine if you go for giving some food supplements to the baby. This will supplement for all the nutrition that it was getting through feeding.
For females who have problems with pre term labor doctor advises that both breast feeding and intercourse orgasms should be avoided a sit contracts the uterus which can be harmful for the baby. However, if at all there will be requirement to do the same, you should talk to your doctor and find the answer that you have been seeking. You should get the perfect answer and for this you need to talk to your healthcare provider who can be the best guide for you. Researchers are still finding the most apt alternative for this as it has been the point of discussion for many people all over the world. However, the best thing would be to talk to your doctor in this regards and tell him as to what should be done. You should follow all that your doctor says. However, if you feel unsafe you should discontinue with breastfeeding.
However, most women’s uteruses are NOT sensitive to this breastfeeding hormone. It is therefore safe to breastfeed during pregnancy.
